Ventured out to the Farmer's Market today with the little boys. There is a vendor there that sells amazing greek delights. My favorite was the tabouleh. I will definitely be visiting him again. Today was a challenging day. It started with a long trip to the bank where H. ate it in the parking lot because he insisted on wearing his spiderman mask inside. When we left and were almost to the car, his vision was obstructed because of said mask and he fell flat on his face. This ruined his day and seemed to set mine off as well. Our farmer's market trip was good, then Silas came home from school and we all ate the greek delights and some delicious Clementine wannabes for lunch. I had to then, throw the kids in the car and get a car wash, so that the car was ready for a detail by my hubby the next day. We listed it for sale and have been getting a lot of calls about it. I then, got a phone call as I was making dinner, early I might add, in anticipation of an online meeting that I had scheduled that afternoon, that Silas had his first baseball practice in just a couple of hours. We ate and then headed out and watched his first practice in subzero temperatures. Bible Study was that night as well. It was just a never ending day, I was exhausted and grumpy. Let's try for a good one tomorrow.
What is this?
This blog was inspired by a friend of mine. He has been journaling using photos that he takes daily and publishes to facebook. I am going to attempt to do something similar, but in the form of a blog. I am the wife of a wonderful, godly, fishing addict and a work-at-home mama of three beautiful boys and life, while it can be beautiful, can also be mundane, which can suck the joy out of everyday living. I have so much to be thankful for, and in beginning this blog, I'm hoping to regain my joy. I hope that this will cause me to seek beauty and pleasure in my everyday life. Today is 7-27-11, no significant date, but I hope, the beginning of something really special <3
A couple of parameters for this blog: I will attempt to sum up each day with 1 picture (A collage is okay!). I will keep my posts short and to the point and I will be taking all pictures with my iPhone 4. Enjoy!

Happy Leap Day! This is how mine started out. My emotional H. woke up grumpy, which isn't uncommon and I knew he just needed a little love before he ventured out and started his day. He came into my room in tears, when I asked him what was wrong, he couldn't really tell me. He's not much of a talker. I then scooped him up and held him for a while. We had no place to be, no school to rush off to, so I postponed breakfast for a bit, and gave him some love. He's my snugglebug, that's for sure, but he's that way because he needs to be. He, out of the three, responds the most to hugs and kisses. I figure, his response speaks a little to his need, so I respond like this to him as much as I can. My thing right now with these boys, is that I will know them as individuals and respond to them as such. My H. is a special one, I've known that from the day he was born. We have a special bond. My mama's boy <3

This boy is almost 5. In just a few short weeks, he will pass from toddler to little boy. I will be registering him for Kindergarten in the next couple of weeks. I cannot believe it. I feel like he's ready to start school, like he's ready to make the transition and be a real boy. But I know that when I drop him off that first day, my heart will drop into my stomach, just like it did on his first day of preschool. He is my firstborn, the trial and error child (poor thing), the perfect baby that caused me to rush into having his little brothers because I was so in love with him. What a great kid. I pray that we continue to discover who he is, and that we can raise a secure, purposed, and dedicated boy.

Cordi family birthday dinner tonight. On the menu: Mom's homemade pozole with all of the fixings, chips and salsa (from La Casita), salad and blueberry pie for dessert. It was her first time making it and it was amazing. Everyone ate until they were sick and then ate lots of pie and got even more sick. It was a snowy night to top off a good evening. Bean loved the snow, Auntie A was gracious enough to take him outside in the bitter cold, so he could throw his arms up and marvel.

Caught up on my DVR today after church. Daddy had to leave me for a seminar, so I spent some much needed time relaxing in front of the tube. It's a rare occasion these days. Caught up on 30 rock and had to snap this pic of Tina dressed like a homeless old woman. Watch the episode if you get a chance. I couldn't stop laughing.

Family Costco trip today where we consumed much junk food in the form of cheap hot dogs and pizza. Why does their cafeteria food taste so dang good? We are in the process of switching out our light bulbs. Hoping to bring down our electric bill. Costco was having their annual rebates on energy saving bulbs. We scored! Hoping my bill is decreased dramatically next month.

Started making smoothies for the boys. It's green because I snuck in some Spinach. They never knew. Si will eat anything if it's disguised in something that tastes sweet. I felt victorious as he gulped it down and asked for seconds. The more veggies they consume, the better. And raw veggies at that!
